Atlanta, ya'll.

We planned our major Atlanta experiences around my sweet cousin Brandon's work schedule. Our first stop was the Atlanta Aquarium. Everyone in my little family has been waiting to see whale sharks in person and the Atlanta Aquarium has four of them. We were not disappointed, especially Wylie who kept going back to stand, sit or lay in front of the tank to get more views of these four huge creatures. Our next stop was Coke World, or as I like to call it, paradise. Todd loved Coke World as much as I did. We gave that kid a glass and he tried each of the sixty samples and then mixed up many of his own concoctions to try. Wylie tried some caffeine free Coke and I fear I have another coke addict living in my house with me. I also fell in love with Coke cake and filled up my basket in the souvenir shop with all things Diet Coke. Our last stop for the day was much more serious and one I was not adequately prepared for. We headed to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Park installation in downtown Atlanta. The park is built around the house King Jr was born in and and the church King preached in. Jacy and I could not wrap our brains around the sad history of racism and were touched by King's life. Todd formed a special friendship with one of the park rangers who helped him with his Junior Ranger badge project in the park. She kindly answered all his questions and helped him with his project.
