Todd's Day
Since it is Todd's vacation, he chose our activities for the day. We started our adventure at Sushi Land where he can choose his food off the conveyor belt which he loves. Next was bowling where he beat me fair and square which would be embarrassing if Wylie hadn't been on my team. And finally, a trip to Half Price Books for the 5 chapter books that will get him through the weekend. A great day for Todd and me too.

It's Picture Day!
Poor Wylie, he has a nice cut on the bridge of his nose, which was made better by 20 minutes of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, a fruit cup and snuggles from Mommy and Daddy (who came home from running errands because Mommy second guesses her first aid mojo since the broken finger fiasco of '07).
Let's hope the pictures turn out well.

Jason Mraz Concert at the Paramount
Jacy and I went to see Jason Mraz last night at the Paramount. I am a lousy person to go to concerts with and I will be the first to admit this fact about myself and Jacy will second that emotion I am sure. I am not an audience participation kind of girl, I like to listen to the music and enjoy the human interest aspect of seeing an artist live BUT I don't like the crowd. Not my thing. That being said I really enjoyed Lisa Hannigan, the opening act and I loved hearing 2 or 3 of my favorite Mraz songs live ("I'm Yours" in particular, such a good version last night with a guest from the audience). Here are some pics of Mr. A-Z showing off his skills and my cutie getting ready for the concert.

We Voted
I took the kids with me to the voting poll this afternoon. Wylie slept through the event, thankfully, but Todd was tuned in for the adventure. I chose a paper ballot so that he could really see everything well and talked to him about what I was voting for. I was amused when I voted for the Governor and Todd said, "don't vote for Dino Rossi, he takes kid's health care away from them". Is he the only one still listening to campaign ads at this point? I really love voting and appreciate that I am able to. I hope my kids understand the importance of making their voice heard in that way and will look forward to their right to vote.

A Quiet Weekend
I just sat down to write about our lovely, quiet weekend and realized that it wasn't very quiet but it was very relaxing. We did a lot of stuff, just no six year old birthday parties, traveling or school obligations. Nice and busy, but just the stuff we chose to do, like date night at H&G Bistro and some serious Lego construction.
