Jacy and I loaded everyone up in the car (kids, us, Nan and great-grandparents) to see bald eagles in
Rockport, Washington. We were hoping to see tons of eagles eating the remains of salmon that end up in
Rockport at this time of year. Unfortunately, we didn't see too many eagles, but the drive was gorgeous and we had a great lunch at my fave restaurant in Mt. Vernon. I was amused the next week to see a large eagle resting in a tree near Todd's school. He sat in the tree while I turned the car around to show the 6 kiddos in my car how close we were to such an incredible creature. You can see the fun picture I was able to get of the eagle and a family photo from our cold morning exploration for eagles.
