Goodbye Beijing

Oh I feel so sad and empty when the Olympics are just a day away from being over. What will I do without non-stop television marathons, endless human interest stories and Bob Costas making me giggle to myself? I will resume my normal life of cleaning, taking care of the kids and SLEEPING. I love the Olympics and count the months and then days until opening ceremonies, it never disappoints and always leaves me excited about what will come next. My highlights this year were VOLLEYBALL (beach and team, I love them both, especially the USA Golden Girls and Lloy Ball on the men's team who, as Jacy correctly described, looks like he learned to play volleyball on a prison team), Michael Phelps, watching those crazy Canadians on CBC get excited about their 18 (at last count) medals GO CANADA and too many others to describe. As usual I am looking forward to the next round of winners and almost winners to come. Counting the years until Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Russia 2014 and whatever great city gets 2016 (Chicago wants it and so does Tokyo). I can hardly wait!!!

I know how you feel I love the olympics too! Did you see the mens diving last night...OMG what a nail bitter, then the Aussie took gold! I think that was the highlight of the games for me. But I love it all! The beach volleyball rocked too!
Oh well one more day and we will have our lives back....lol!
